My
Story

A little about me, my name is Bill Brown and I’ve always been drawn to work that blends craft, structure, and the natural world. My background is in architecture, where I learned to pay close attention to proportion, light, and how materials affect the way a space feels. That way of thinking still shapes how I approach stained glass today, especially when a piece needs to feel at home within its surroundings.

Before focusing fully on stained glass, I spent many years running a landscaping business. That experience taught me patience and respect for process, as well as an appreciation for how things change over time. Working outdoors reinforced the idea that good design comes from responding to what’s already there rather than forcing something into place. That mindset carries directly into my glass work.

Stained glass has been a steady thread through all of this. I work with traditional techniques and durable materials, and every piece is designed and built by hand. Whether I’m creating something new, restoring an older piece, or building a custom wood frame, my goal is to make work that feels thoughtful, practical, and lasting. I believe stained glass should feel lived-in and personal, not precious, and I enjoy creating pieces that people can live with and appreciate every day.
